Uou usually have the same pose for 40-60 hours in the Art schools. And you must have your eyes at the same point all the time. Therefore I think it is better modeling for sculpting when you are turned around all the time and can see different things.

Nowadays the artists use colours who are better for the environment and do not smell so nasty.
